Narrative:

Picked up an aircraft in the morning at home base. This base is major maintenance base. Aircraft just came out of major inspection. Preflight was normal, start normal. Flew aircraft for 3 flts and swapped it to another crew who flew it for 7 flts, terminating at an on-line station. The next morning, the originating crew discovered that the oil pressure indications were reversed. Inspection revealed that the cannon plugs to the gauges were hooked up backwards. Although some maintenance was performed overnight at the on-line station, the oil pressure system was not worked on. Apparently me and another captain flew that aircraft for a total of 10 flts without noticing that the oil pressure on start came up on the wrong gauge. The oil pressure warning lights on the annunciator panel worked properly, so the normal after start 'flow' would be correct, and with both engines running, all pressure indications would appear normal.
