Narrative:

Was en route to clt and deviating north of hmv due to a thunderstorm. Got a TA followed immediately by an RA to descend immediately, which I did. Leveled at FL210 and was clear of the conflict. The other aircraft was never seen and it was on a different frequency. ZTL confirmed there had been a near miss. ATC never called out the traffic nor gave any deconflicting instructions.

Title: FK100 ACR ACFT IN CRUISE HAD TCASII RA AND RPTR CAPT DSNDED 1000 FT TO EVADE INTRUDER. WHEN QUESTIONING ARTCC RADAR CTLR, THE CTLR WAS AWARE OF THE CONFLICT.

Narrative: WAS ENRTE TO CLT AND DEVIATING N OF HMV DUE TO A TSTM. GOT A TA FOLLOWED IMMEDIATELY BY AN RA TO DSND IMMEDIATELY, WHICH I DID. LEVELED AT FL210 AND WAS CLR OF THE CONFLICT. THE OTHER ACFT WAS NEVER SEEN AND IT WAS ON A DIFFERENT FREQ. ZTL CONFIRMED THERE HAD BEEN A NEAR MISS. ATC NEVER CALLED OUT THE TFC NOR GAVE ANY DECONFLICTING INSTRUCTIONS.
