Narrative:

Cleared for ILS runway 4R, cross degan at 8000 ft. Moments later, I responded to an RA from TCASII by climbing straight ahead to about 9500 ft from 8700 ft. There was no TA from ATC. Advised ATC of action and he reclred us to 7000 ft and advised an air carrier B727 was turning inside of us. ILS was still armed on the flight director and I reacquired the GS. At 6700 ft approach came up and stated maintain 7000 ft and gave the location of the air carrier B727. We responded that the B727 was in sight and ATC reclred us for the approach. Rest of flight uneventful.
