Narrative:

Contact was made with aircraft #2 while climbing and moving away from target area at balloon race. Aircraft #1 was climbing out at 100-200 FPM. Aircraft #2 was climbing out at 300+ FPM estimate. Contact was made, envelope to envelope near equators. No damage or major change in flight direction by either aircraft. Balloon #2 climbed from behind my balloon. I was looking forward, not back and down at balloon behind me.

Title: HOT AIR BALLOON PLT IS BUMPED BY A SECOND BALLOON DURING ASCENT.

Narrative: CONTACT WAS MADE WITH ACFT #2 WHILE CLBING AND MOVING AWAY FROM TARGET AREA AT BALLOON RACE. ACFT #1 WAS CLBING OUT AT 100-200 FPM. ACFT #2 WAS CLBING OUT AT 300+ FPM ESTIMATE. CONTACT WAS MADE, ENVELOPE TO ENVELOPE NEAR EQUATORS. NO DAMAGE OR MAJOR CHANGE IN FLT DIRECTION BY EITHER ACFT. BALLOON #2 CLBED FROM BEHIND MY BALLOON. I WAS LOOKING FORWARD, NOT BACK AND DOWN AT BALLOON BEHIND ME.
