Narrative:

The kimmo one arrival into lax requires a left turn from the lhs VOR R-139 sebound to the outbound vny VOR R-095 at darts intersection. Usually we are assigned a radar vector heading 140 degrees prior to darts. As the PNF, I was off frequency with company operations making a normal in-range call. My first officer continued sebound past darts and I didn't notice until several mi had passed. With no mention of our error, the next controller adeptly fitted us into the traffic flow. Next time, my first officer and I will be more careful to adhere to our actual, not expected clearance.
