Narrative:

After a good approach and landing on runway 8 at fty aircraft skidded to left off runway damaging 1 runway light. Aircraft stopped several hundred feet from touchdown in grass on left side of runway with right wingtip over left edge of runway. Wind was from the south with very strong gusts in heavy rain. Applying full right rudder did not stop skidding. Apparently aircraft was hydroplaning and wind gusts strong enough to move it with full right rudder.
