Narrative:

The engine began running rough and not producing enough power to sustain cruise. When turning the auxiliary fuel pump off and reducing power, the engine rapidly dropped RPM and fuel pressure. I was afraid I had a fuel leak and the electric pump was pumping more fuel somewhere it should not be going. The engine only had about 45 hours on it since being rebuilt. It was because of engine problems and not knowing what the problem was that I chose not to proceed past the marine base.
