Narrative:

I was flying into pen yan airport. I called ATC rochester and asked for winds and active and they said winds at 240 degrees, 8 KTS. I asked for radio frequency change and it changed, went to 123.0 pen yan unicom. I radioed in for winds and active and unicom replied winds out of west 8 KTS, your choice of runway. I landed on runway 28 and it had a steep slope and I could not stop on the runway. I applied full brakes and engine was at idle, 20 degrees flaps. Yoke full back. I ran off end of runway and the wing of my airplane clipped the hangar and I spun aircraft around breaking the left wheel off and aircraft stopped in the hangar. I feel I should have landed closer to the numbers and if I closed my flaps I might have had more of a chance of stopping. I really thought I could stop the plane but if I knew the slope was so steep I would have pushed power in and did a go around and landed on north/south runway. This was my first time I had ever landed on a slope, and next time, I will try to find a runway without a slope. P.south. With the trees at the end of runway, I was afraid I would have not been able to clear them.

Title: PLT OF AN SMA SEL LOST CTL OF ACFT DURING LNDG, RESULTING IN A RWY EXCURSION AND HITTING A WINGTIP ON A HANGAR, CAUSING THE ACFT TO SPIN AROUND BREAKING THE L WHEEL OFF AND SWINGING THE ACFT INTO THE HANGAR WHERE IT WAS FINALLY STOPPED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND THE DAMAGED ACFT WAS CLASSIFIED AS AN INCIDENT.

THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME I HAD EVER LANDED ON A SLOPE, AND NEXT TIME, I WILL TRY TO FIND A RWY WITHOUT A SLOPE. P.S. WITH THE TREES AT THE END OF RWY, I WAS AFRAID I WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CLR THEM.
