Narrative:

We had briefed and prepared for a SID departure. On taking the runway madrid tower told us due to military activity to fly runway heading and stop climb at 5000 ft. After takeoff we were switched to departure control and reclred direct to the NDB on the SID and given a higher altitude. I believe we followed the directions issued by the mad ATC system. Their complaint is not clear.
