Narrative:

I followed the passenger to forward galley where she had her tickets out asking about her flight to austin. The captain just made an announcement about holding for runway 25 and an impending delay to dfw. We explained to the passenger that we had no information for her, but not to worry as all inbound flts are also affected. The #1 flight attendant was talking to her when the passenger made a comment about being a frequent flyer and something about 'that's not what the captain said.' the passenger started to make her way to the main cabin and slapped the #1 flight attendant at least twice on the upper arm. I saw the #1 flight attendant go back to main cabin to talk to her when she returned and said that she was slapped again. About 45 mins later, while filling out reports, her arm had 3 bruises on it where she was slapped. We then notified the captain, who said that the police would meet the flight. They were there and they took her away to a holding room.
