Narrative:
Climbing through FL340 the cabin altitude horn sounded. Our cabin altitude indicated 10000 ft. The cabin continued to climb at 500-700 FPM. After receiving an ATC clearance, we initiated an emergency descent. ATC was unable to clear us immediately to 10000 ft, so we declared an emergency. The cabin reached a maximum of 13500 ft during the descent. The flight diverted to bwi.
