Narrative:

Air carrier a, after cleared for takeoff, #1 engine egt exceeded approximately 935 degrees C. Emergency was declared. ATC local tower was advised. Crew notified tower and requested straight out departure and also requested to return to den runway 7. Company and ATC procedures were complied with. After all checklists were completed, air carrier a landed on runway 7. Emergency crews assessed the engine and brakes for fire and/or damage and began taxi to company assigned gate. While en route to gate on designated taxiway, air carrier a developed 2 flat tires due to brake temperature. Tires were changed on taxiway and aircraft towed to assigned gate. No injuries were sustained, no engine damage or fire -- damage only to 2 left main gear tires.

Title: A320 ACFT ON TKOF ROLL HAD HIGH EGT ON #1 ENG. FLC REQUESTED STRAIGHT OUT DEP AND VECTORS BACK FOR LNDG. AFTER LNDG AND DETERMINING THERE WAS NO FIRE OR DAMAGE TO ACFT, AND WHILE CONTINUING TAXI, 2 TIRES WENT FLAT DUE TO HIGH BRAKE TEMPS. TIRES WERE CHANGED ON TXWY AND ACFT TOWED TO GATE WHERE ENG WAS INSPECTED AND NO DAMAGE FOUND.
