Narrative:

Approach and landing normal. After touchdown, upon reducing power levers from ground idle to reverse, right engine flamed out, tower advised that smoke appeared to be coming from right engine. First officer confirmed smoke and said that it was not excessive. Upon shutting r-hand condition lever, first officer reported fire on r-hand engine and flight attendant rang cockpit to tell of fire on right side. #2 fire bottle was discharged. After completing engine fire on ground checklist, alerted flight attendant to plan orderly deplaning due to no further evidence of smoke or fire. Completed emergency evacuate/evacuation checklist and secured aircraft. Aircraft was turned over to maintenance for further investigation. There have been numerous incidents involving flameout of tpe 331-14GR/hour engine without sufficient explanation. Inspection revealed that the fire was contained within the engine/tailpipe area.
