Narrative:
I was cleared onto runway 1 to hold for takeoff. I distracted myself by changing my chart to the destination airport (ftw). In doing so, I did not taxi all the way to runway 1. I ended up short on runway 32. Tower cleared me for takeoff on runway 1. I realized my mistake about 500 ft down the runway and stopped. I notified tower who promptly got me a clearance for takeoff on runway 32. Thank goodness waco was not busy at the time.

Title: PVT PLT STARTS A TKOF ON THE WRONG RWY, ABORTS AND ADVISES TWR. CTLR ISSUES TKOF FROM THAT RWY. NO TFC.
Narrative: I WAS CLRED ONTO RWY 1 TO HOLD FOR TKOF. I DISTRACTED MYSELF BY CHANGING MY CHART TO THE DEST ARPT (FTW). IN DOING SO, I DID NOT TAXI ALL THE WAY TO RWY 1. I ENDED UP SHORT ON RWY 32. TWR CLRED ME FOR TKOF ON RWY 1. I REALIZED MY MISTAKE ABOUT 500 FT DOWN THE RWY AND STOPPED. I NOTIFIED TWR WHO PROMPTLY GOT ME A CLRNC FOR TKOF ON RWY 32. THANK GOODNESS WACO WAS NOT BUSY AT THE TIME.
