Narrative:

I accompanied a flying student on his long cross country from chandler to yuma. He was afraid of doing the flight on his own, so he paid me the rent for an aircraft to accompany him. I was wary to avoid a midair collision, so we flew a half mi apart. I was navigating mainly in relation to him, keeping an eye on the road from chandler to yuma to stay on course. He had problems with his VOR navigation, so his route was not quite straight, neither was mine. 35 mi from bard VOR on 60 degree radial from, I entered R2307. About 2 mi inside the restr airspace I realized I might be too far north and turned back south out of R2307. When we reached yuma airport, I contacted approach about 9 mi off to the east of bard VOR. They told me to 'prepare to land' or 'expect to land,' I cannot remember, on runway 35. The transmission was interrupted by other calls. I turned south and was inside yuma class D airspace when I asked back to get a transponder code and further instructions. Later, on the ground, I was accused of unauthorized flying into yuma class D airspace because I had not got a transponder code upon entry. I was on their approach frequency but other calls prevented me from asking back earlier.

Title: SMA FLYING LOOSE FORMATION ON A XCOUNTRY STUDENT BLUNDERED INTO R2307. HE THEN ENTERED THE YUMA CLASS D WITHOUT CLRNC.

Narrative: I ACCOMPANIED A FLYING STUDENT ON HIS LONG XCOUNTRY FROM CHANDLER TO YUMA. HE WAS AFRAID OF DOING THE FLT ON HIS OWN, SO HE PAID ME THE RENT FOR AN ACFT TO ACCOMPANY HIM. I WAS WARY TO AVOID A MIDAIR COLLISION, SO WE FLEW A HALF MI APART. I WAS NAVING MAINLY IN RELATION TO HIM, KEEPING AN EYE ON THE ROAD FROM CHANDLER TO YUMA TO STAY ON COURSE. HE HAD PROBS WITH HIS VOR NAV, SO HIS RTE WAS NOT QUITE STRAIGHT, NEITHER WAS MINE. 35 MI FROM BARD VOR ON 60 DEG RADIAL FROM, I ENTERED R2307. ABOUT 2 MI INSIDE THE RESTR AIRSPACE I REALIZED I MIGHT BE TOO FAR N AND TURNED BACK S OUT OF R2307. WHEN WE REACHED YUMA ARPT, I CONTACTED APCH ABOUT 9 MI OFF TO THE E OF BARD VOR. THEY TOLD ME TO 'PREPARE TO LAND' OR 'EXPECT TO LAND,' I CANNOT REMEMBER, ON RWY 35. THE XMISSION WAS INTERRUPTED BY OTHER CALLS. I TURNED S AND WAS INSIDE YUMA CLASS D AIRSPACE WHEN I ASKED BACK TO GET A XPONDER CODE AND FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS. LATER, ON THE GND, I WAS ACCUSED OF UNAUTH FLYING INTO YUMA CLASS D AIRSPACE BECAUSE I HAD NOT GOT A XPONDER CODE UPON ENTRY. I WAS ON THEIR APCH FREQ BUT OTHER CALLS PREVENTED ME FROM ASKING BACK EARLIER.
