Narrative:

ZJX 127.87 was controling us en route from clt to aby. After approximately 30 mins with no frequency change, first officer called, asked controller about our status. His response was 'things are just quiet.' about 100 NM from aby we called and asked for lower, and he could not find us. He asked for our position and gave us a new frequency (119.37). The new controller asked about our clearance and we told him we were just handed off to him. He acted as if he was upset with us for just showing up. I have no idea if we caused any problem during the 100 mi or so that we were 'lost' in the system. The center controllers screwed up and tried to make it look as if we did. Maybe they need to pay more attention to what they are doing, especially when we called them to ask about the problem prior to this happening.

Title: CPR G3 RPTR SAYS CTLR FORGOT THEM AND COULD NOT FIND THEM WHEN THEY ASKED FOR LOWER ALT. CTLR THEN SWITCHED THEM TO A DIFFERENT FREQ. ACFT 'LOST IN SYS' FOR 100 NM.

Narrative: ZJX 127.87 WAS CTLING US ENRTE FROM CLT TO ABY. AFTER APPROX 30 MINS WITH NO FREQ CHANGE, FO CALLED, ASKED CTLR ABOUT OUR STATUS. HIS RESPONSE WAS 'THINGS ARE JUST QUIET.' ABOUT 100 NM FROM ABY WE CALLED AND ASKED FOR LOWER, AND HE COULD NOT FIND US. HE ASKED FOR OUR POS AND GAVE US A NEW FREQ (119.37). THE NEW CTLR ASKED ABOUT OUR CLRNC AND WE TOLD HIM WE WERE JUST HANDED OFF TO HIM. HE ACTED AS IF HE WAS UPSET WITH US FOR JUST SHOWING UP. I HAVE NO IDEA IF WE CAUSED ANY PROB DURING THE 100 MI OR SO THAT WE WERE 'LOST' IN THE SYS. THE CTR CTLRS SCREWED UP AND TRIED TO MAKE IT LOOK AS IF WE DID. MAYBE THEY NEED TO PAY MORE ATTN TO WHAT THEY ARE DOING, ESPECIALLY WHEN WE CALLED THEM TO ASK ABOUT THE PROB PRIOR TO THIS HAPPENING.
