Narrative:

Contacted departure, cleared to expedite to 6000 ft, unusual clearance. Checked TCASII, an approaching target at 6000 ft, wanted to be above 5000 ft because of clearance. Got a RA from TCASII, leveled about 5500 ft. Turned away on our own and passed. Other aircraft did not deviate. TCASII prevented probable problem.
