Narrative:

Took off without planning the cross country -- flew around rain storm. Did not trust navigation radio (VOR) information. Did not call approach control at cmh to report I was lost and needed help. Rushed and didn't think. Ended up in class C over city of columbus. I can correct problem by taking some VOR training.

Title: NON INST RATED PVT PLT BECAME LOST AND DISORIENTED AT NIGHT, WITH NUMEROUS RAIN STORMS WHICH HE TRIED TO AVOID BY FLYING AROUND THEM, RESULTING IN PENETRATION OF CLASS C AIRSPACE. RPTR ALSO ADMITS THAT HE FAILED TO ASK ATC FOR HELP!
