Narrative:
On climb out from jfk we were flying the SID kenndy 7 (breezy point climb), after crossing canarsie VOR (cri), we were outbound on 233 degree radial. ATC advised us that we were 2 mi west of the radial. ATC gave us a turn to intercept the 223 degree radial. We were told to re- intercept the radial. We misunderstood and intercepted the 242 degree radial off of cri. ATC advised us that again we were 3 mi west of course. After that ATC gave us radar vectors. As far as we could tell there was no conflict with any other traffic.

Narrative: ON CLBOUT FROM JFK WE WERE FLYING THE SID KENNDY 7 (BREEZY POINT CLB), AFTER XING CANARSIE VOR (CRI), WE WERE OUTBOUND ON 233 DEG RADIAL. ATC ADVISED US THAT WE WERE 2 MI W OF THE RADIAL.
