Narrative:
I got a standard WX briefing prior to departure from lna at XA45Z. The briefing said that the cloud cover over the ocala area would be breaking up by XD00Z. I did not get any in-flight WX updates and by XD00Z I was at 3000 ft MSL with solid cloud cover at 2500 ft MSL. I contacted ZJX and advised them of my problem. They asked me about fuel and I told them I had 1.5 hours. They said there was not a VFR airport within my range. There was a C172 doing IFR work in the area and I was advised to follow him down about 1 mi back, but I lost sight of the C172 and climbed back out of the cloud cover. ZJX gave me a heading to fly and they had a flight instructor talk me down through the clouds that I broke out at 800 ft then landed at ogf.
