Narrative:

VFR flight from spg-opf. Spg tower cleared me for takeoff on runway 24 with a left turn after takeoff on course to the southeast. Approaching 1400 ft, the tower advised me to remain below 1200 ft due to tpa's class B airspace. I immediately descended to 1000 ft MSL. The miami sectional's depiction of the class B airspace south of spg is very unclr. The class B depiction in this area conflicts with other depictions/markings on the chart, and it is virtually impossible to identify the class B airspace in that area. The class B airspace should be better depicted on the sectional chart for the area south and southeast of spg.

Title: BE36 PLT CLBS INTO CLASS B AIRSPACE WITHOUT CLRNC. LCL CTLR REMINDS HIM OF THE FLOOR OF THE AIRSPACE.

Narrative: VFR FLT FROM SPG-OPF. SPG TWR CLRED ME FOR TKOF ON RWY 24 WITH A L TURN AFTER TKOF ON COURSE TO THE SE. APCHING 1400 FT, THE TWR ADVISED ME TO REMAIN BELOW 1200 FT DUE TO TPA'S CLASS B AIRSPACE. I IMMEDIATELY DSNDED TO 1000 FT MSL. THE MIAMI SECTIONAL'S DEPICTION OF THE CLASS B AIRSPACE S OF SPG IS VERY UNCLR. THE CLASS B DEPICTION IN THIS AREA CONFLICTS WITH OTHER DEPICTIONS/MARKINGS ON THE CHART, AND IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO IDENT THE CLASS B AIRSPACE IN THAT AREA. THE CLASS B AIRSPACE SHOULD BE BETTER DEPICTED ON THE SECTIONAL CHART FOR THE AREA S AND SE OF SPG.
