Narrative:

First officer climbed through assigned altitude of 8000 ft. Center queried and said we were at 8400 ft. We told them we'd check our altimeter. Changed frequency and center had us climb to 10000 ft. No mention of conflicts was made.

Narrative: FO CLBED THROUGH ASSIGNED ALT OF 8000 FT. CTR QUERIED AND SAID WE WERE AT 8400 FT. WE TOLD THEM WE'D CHK OUR ALTIMETER. CHANGED FREQ AND CTR HAD US CLB TO 10000 FT. NO MENTION OF CONFLICTS WAS MADE.
