Narrative:
On descent into burbank airport, we were cleared to cross 10 mi west of fim VOR at 10000 ft. While we were crossing fim VOR at 10000 ft, we were given a radio frequency change from 128.75 to 134.2. The new controller asked what altitude we were at and then he quickly cleared us down to 7000 ft. No one indicated anything was wrong but the tone of his voice had changed.

Narrative: ON DSCNT INTO BURBANK ARPT, WE WERE CLRED TO CROSS 10 MI W OF FIM VOR AT 10000 FT. WHILE WE WERE XING FIM VOR AT 10000 FT, WE WERE GIVEN A RADIO FREQ CHANGE FROM 128.75 TO 134.2. THE NEW CTLR ASKED WHAT ALT WE WERE AT AND THEN HE QUICKLY CLRED US DOWN TO 7000 FT. NO ONE INDICATED ANYTHING WAS WRONG BUT THE TONE OF HIS VOICE HAD CHANGED.
