Narrative:

The cle tdwr display does not give an indication of wind gusts and there is no backup system. Recently we had 2 plus days of extremely gusty winds and had nothing to report. The FAA should be very concerned about this -- ask yourself about the accident in the southern region a few yrs back. Callback conversation reporter revealed the following information: reporter said that he had been told the tdwr equipment was fixed and is now reporting wind gusts.
