Narrative:

After landing, advised that emergency medical kit was missing. So did not notice it missing prior to departure. During severe winter operations, kit is routinely removed by station personnel to avoid freezing, with no cockpit notification. Also, they are occasionally stolen. It might have been removed and not replaced without being noticed, or 'removed' (stolen) after preflight.

Title: B727 ACFT. DURING FLC CHANGE, NEW FLC DISCOVERED EMER MEDICAL KIT MISSING FROM ACFT. BECAUSE DURING VERY COLD WX THEY ARE SOMETIMES REMOVED BY MAINT TO PREVENT FREEZING, MAINT MAY HAVE FAILED TO PUT ONE BACK ON ACFT. OR, IT COULD HAVE BEEN STOLEN.
