Narrative:

Location: 80 mi south of msp. Climbing through FL220 cabin started a high rate of climb. We requested lower and were cleared down to 17000 ft. As we began our descent a takeoff trim warning came on MFDU and an aural alert also. Leveled at 17000 ft. ATC advised to check altitude. Forgot to reset altimeters passing FL180. After resetting altimeters we were 400 ft low. Climbed back to 17000 ft.
