Narrative:

FL310 level cruise, light chop and occasional moderate turbulence in VMC. Both generators dropped off-line. Crew initiated emergency checklist and declared emergency. Generators would not reset. Descent to FL250 was initiated and cleared direct to jfk. Subsequent vectors and descent to join localizer runway 4R at jfk. APU started passing FL230, APU electrics were available passing 15000 ft. Right bus restored (partial) after numerous attempts. Elected 15 degree flaps landing at 103000 pounds. Landing and rollout uneventful. Aircraft came to stop about 4000-5000 ft from approach end. Fire crews determined ok to taxi and follow me. Vehicle requested for taxi to gate as a result of suspected low battery condition.
