Narrative:

Air carrier flight aborted prior to V1 for a confign warning. We are a new airline with all crew members being low time in aircraft. The PIC was the PF. As we rolled down runway 17L, he applied additional nose down trim. He exceeded the normal operating range -- the green arc. When the confign warning sounded, he aborted the takeoff. We cleared the runway and after checking with dispatch, subsequent departure was uneventful. The PF should not have been trimming during the takeoff roll.
