Narrative:

During both of these evenings, part of the new automated ATIS was completely unreadable: taxiway closures and a lighting system that was out. Many of our pilots are complaining about the new system. We definitely have to listen to it two, three or more times to understand. The audio chip just is not producing a clear enough 'voice.'
