Narrative:

On finks arrival, given ATC vector for traffic. After clearing traffic, given vector to rejoin finks arrival. I was obtaining ATIS. PF, first officer, apparently went through published radial. ATC alerted us to the error. No known conflicts. Factors: 1 pilot being 'out of the loop' obtaining ATIS, or giving PA announcement, for short periods, increases chances for cockpit errors.

Narrative: ON FINKS ARR, GIVEN ATC VECTOR FOR TFC. AFTER CLRING TFC, GIVEN VECTOR TO REJOIN FINKS ARR. I WAS OBTAINING ATIS. PF, FO, APPARENTLY WENT THROUGH PUBLISHED RADIAL. ATC ALERTED US TO THE ERROR. NO KNOWN CONFLICTS. FACTORS: 1 PLT BEING 'OUT OF THE LOOP' OBTAINING ATIS, OR GIVING PA ANNOUNCEMENT, FOR SHORT PERIODS, INCREASES CHANCES FOR COCKPIT ERRORS.
