Narrative:
After leveloff at FL290 autoplt on, aircraft clipping tops of cloud layer and encountered updraft. Aircraft drifted up 400- 500 ft above FL290 before PF (first officer) could recover and return to FL290.

Narrative: AFTER LEVELOFF AT FL290 AUTOPLT ON, ACFT CLIPPING TOPS OF CLOUD LAYER AND ENCOUNTERED UPDRAFT. ACFT DRIFTED UP 400- 500 FT ABOVE FL290 BEFORE PF (FO) COULD RECOVER AND RETURN TO FL290.
