Narrative:

On climb out on laxx 2 departure, SID required a turn to 220 degree heading. ZLA then gave a heading to 160 degrees. A switch to the next controling center also gave a heading change. A 100 degree heading was read back (or believed to be read back). When passing 120 degree heading, ATC called saying the heading assigned was 160 degrees. We then turned back to 160 degrees. Confusion may have occurred due to a call sign of similar sounding aircraft identify.
