Narrative:

Cleared by ZMA to fly heading 165 degrees until intercepting cyy 113 degree radial outbound. Descending through FL180 for 15000 ft assigned. We turned to intercept the rsw 113 degree radial by mistake. First officer was flying, autoplt on, manual mode. First officer was handling radios also since captain was making PA. Flight engineer was writing changeover information. After tuning cyy VOR, first officer reselected rsw VOR to check a radial but forgot to retune cyy VOR. The omegas had drifted significantly, so they were not being used for navigation. After turning to intercept the radial, ZMA asked, 'what heading are you flying?' first officer answered '115 degrees.' ZMA said 'you intercepted the lee county 113 degree radial instead of the cypress 113 degree radial.' first officer acknowledged. ZMA then immediately issued us a new clearance 'cleared direct worpp, maintain 10000 ft.' we then turned direct worpp as cleared.

Title: AN ACR B727 INTERCEPTED THE R RADIAL ON THE WRONG VOR. ERROR ADMITTED.

Narrative: CLRED BY ZMA TO FLY HDG 165 DEGS UNTIL INTERCEPTING CYY 113 DEG RADIAL OUTBOUND. DSNDING THROUGH FL180 FOR 15000 FT ASSIGNED. WE TURNED TO INTERCEPT THE RSW 113 DEG RADIAL BY MISTAKE. FO WAS FLYING, AUTOPLT ON, MANUAL MODE. FO WAS HANDLING RADIOS ALSO SINCE CAPT WAS MAKING PA. FE WAS WRITING CHANGEOVER INFO. AFTER TUNING CYY VOR, FO RESELECTED RSW VOR TO CHK A RADIAL BUT FORGOT TO RETUNE CYY VOR. THE OMEGAS HAD DRIFTED SIGNIFICANTLY, SO THEY WERE NOT BEING USED FOR NAV. AFTER TURNING TO INTERCEPT THE RADIAL, ZMA ASKED, 'WHAT HDG ARE YOU FLYING?' FO ANSWERED '115 DEGS.' ZMA SAID 'YOU INTERCEPTED THE LEE COUNTY 113 DEG RADIAL INSTEAD OF THE CYPRESS 113 DEG RADIAL.' FO ACKNOWLEDGED. ZMA THEN IMMEDIATELY ISSUED US A NEW CLRNC 'CLRED DIRECT WORPP, MAINTAIN 10000 FT.' WE THEN TURNED DIRECT WORPP AS CLRED.
