Narrative:

On final approach with tower, requested to roll out to the end of runway 12R, where our gate was located. Upon landing, I let the B727 roll out to the end, as our request was approved. Tower instructed to exit on taxiway north. I did not see any markings on the side of the runway for taxiway north, and subsequently passed it by, taxiing straight ahead onto runway 3/21. Tower then was kind enough to allow us to taxi on runway 3/21 to our gate. No further problems occurred. I believe that the night time visual cues were a definite factor in that with daytime cues, runway 3/21 would have been clearly visible.

Title: B727 ACFT ON LNDG ROLLOUT WAS CLRED TO TURN OFF ON TXWY N. RPTR CAPT DIDN'T SEE THE TXWY SIGN UNTIL ALREADY PAST IT. TWR ALLOWED FLC TO TAXI ON ANOTHER RWY TO THEIR GATE.
