Narrative:

Administrative gross oversight on the part of the cargo loading personnel (miami station) resulted in overweight condition. This condition was discovered only after landing in rio de janiero (2ND leg) and cargo was partially off-loaded, and further scrutinized. It was then discovered that some of the pallets were incorrectly labeled in kilograms rather than usual pounds. This resulted in the following overwts. Zero fuel weight exceeded by 3386 pounds. Gross weight exceeded by 15832 pounds. Floor loading was exceeded in 4 zones. Takeoff performance was subsequently incorrect. Since the cargo was partially off-loaded in gig, the load master recomputed and correctly reconfigured the aircraft for the final leg to vcp. The loading supervisor must check details such as kilograms instead of pounds, etc, in order to preclude future reoccurrence! Never assume! Supplemental information from acn 351114: our company has also changed its policy to allow hazmat in the 6 most forward position. All under upper deck and crew. This is being brought to the attention of pilot's group and FAA to change, hopefully. This total lack of disregard toward the pilots will only lead to disaster!

Title: B747 FREIGHTER TOOK OFF OVER GROSS WT, OVER ZERO FUEL WT, OVER DECK LIMIT WT AND POSSIBLY OUT OF FORWARD CTR OF GRAVITY LIMITS.

Narrative: ADMINISTRATIVE GROSS OVERSIGHT ON THE PART OF THE CARGO LOADING PERSONNEL (MIAMI STATION) RESULTED IN OVERWT CONDITION. THIS CONDITION WAS DISCOVERED ONLY AFTER LNDG IN RIO DE JANIERO (2ND LEG) AND CARGO WAS PARTIALLY OFF-LOADED, AND FURTHER SCRUTINIZED. IT WAS THEN DISCOVERED THAT SOME OF THE PALLETS WERE INCORRECTLY LABELED IN KILOGRAMS RATHER THAN USUAL POUNDS. THIS RESULTED IN THE FOLLOWING OVERWTS. ZERO FUEL WT EXCEEDED BY 3386 LBS. GROSS WT EXCEEDED BY 15832 LBS. FLOOR LOADING WAS EXCEEDED IN 4 ZONES. TKOF PERFORMANCE WAS SUBSEQUENTLY INCORRECT. SINCE THE CARGO WAS PARTIALLY OFF-LOADED IN GIG, THE LOAD MASTER RECOMPUTED AND CORRECTLY RECONFIGURED THE ACFT FOR THE FINAL LEG TO VCP. THE LOADING SUPVR MUST CHK DETAILS SUCH AS KILOGRAMS INSTEAD OF LBS, ETC, IN ORDER TO PRECLUDE FUTURE REOCCURRENCE! NEVER ASSUME! SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 351114: OUR COMPANY HAS ALSO CHANGED ITS POLICY TO ALLOW HAZMAT IN THE 6 MOST FORWARD POS. ALL UNDER UPPER DECK AND CREW. THIS IS BEING BROUGHT TO THE ATTN OF PLT'S GROUP AND FAA TO CHANGE, HOPEFULLY. THIS TOTAL LACK OF DISREGARD TOWARD THE PLTS WILL ONLY LEAD TO DISASTER!
