Narrative:

When we received load closeout, first officer remarked load fell off and we received new tps for departure for runway 36R at dfw. At rotation, airplane felt heavy and as I lifted off I noticed airspeed at V2 plus 25 KTS. This did seem out of normal. After leveloff I looked at closeout myself closer and saw that we had 39 passenger count on closeout -- not the 139 we actually had on board. I then contacted dispatch I had dispatch check with load to get an accurate zero fuel weight. We received a message from load that our ZFW was off by 18000 pounds. Contributing factors were rain and thunderstorms at dfw. We had a 2 1/2 hour delay and it was already after XA00 local time.
