Narrative:

Making ILS runway 04 approach at lwb. Idented localizer frequency of 110.35. No indication of GS malfunction. No indication below GS. Believed to be just above decision ht (2538 ft). Altimeter 2560 ft. Looked up from panel, trees, pulled up. Declared missed approach. Handed back to center. Cleared direct to bushi LOM for another approach. Did not realize I had contacted trees until on top of fog. Turned inbound on approach. Directional gyroscope appeared to be precessing. Obs showed me to be left of localizer. Declared missed approach. Diverted to roa where WX was VMC. Uneventful landing. I do not believe this incident requires NTSB notification.
