Narrative:

During fly-in, aircraft were parked east of active runway 36. Pilots and passenger were forced to cross active to breakfast and exhibits. Sponsors were attempting to control ground traffic on unicom and pedestrian traffic with association security personnel. Better organization is required due to at least 2 cases of pedestrians on the active causing go around's. The sponsor will provide positive control of pedestrian traffic at next year's event. All fly-in's should do the same. Flying of this type must continue to occur due to their benefits in advertising GA but safety must be the paramount concern. Note: I am also a volunteer aviation safety counselor and as such, I hope this experience can spread the message.
