Narrative:
After transitioning to a larger aircraft, all my ground school training and check rides changed from september to october. In september, I received the standard postcard from my doctor notifying me that my flight physical was due in october. This made sense because I always have my physical in the month I train and check. Oct tue 1996 was the first time my company contacted me wondering where their copy of my medical was. I checked my medical and discovered it had expired. My last physical was march 1996. I immediately scheduled a physical and received a class 1 medical on oct fri 1996. While I feel that this is mostly my fault, there were other factors involved. If I had been on my old training schedule, I would have caught it. If my doctor's database (postcard notification) hadn't been screwed up, I would have caught it. If my company had contacted me as most companies do, I would have caught it.
