Narrative:
ATC facility: ny oceanic ats. Location: rigny A554. I needed to deviate due to potentially dangerous WX. ATC denied request. ATC denied west or east deviation, and would not clear us for higher altitude. I was forced to exercise my emergency authority/authorized and deviated 30 NM east of course to avoid. ATC was notified prior to taking action.
