Narrative:

Pushback from las international airport gate flight las-phl, sep/xx/96. Operations (airline) manual says ramp is not seen by ground control and to call operations for clearance to pushback. After push, and upon first contact with ground control for taxi, ground controller told us we should call for pushback to ground control before pushback. He also said the county requested this procedure and that ground would not deny pushback, but just needed to be informed of push. Possibly a message on ATIS, if some gate requires special procedures would be helpful.

Title: ACR FLT OPS MANUAL LISTS PUSHBACK PROCS AS ONLY CONTACTING THE ACR COMPANY OPS. THEN WHEN CONTACTING GND CTL, THEY WERE ADVISED THAT THE ARPT REQUIRES NOTIFYING GND CTL FOR INFO ONLY. RPTR SUGGESTS THAT INFO BE INCLUDED IN ATIS.
