Narrative:

While climbing out of tampa being vectored around small thunderstorm, our clearance was 320 degree heading and 13000 ft. At 12500 ft departure questioned our altitude and stated we were only cleared to 12000 ft. I believe we read back 13000 ft twice to the controller.

Narrative: WHILE CLBING OUT OF TAMPA BEING VECTORED AROUND SMALL TSTM, OUR CLRNC WAS 320 DEG HDG AND 13000 FT. AT 12500 FT DEP QUESTIONED OUR ALT AND STATED WE WERE ONLY CLRED TO 12000 FT. I BELIEVE WE READ BACK 13000 FT TWICE TO THE CTLR.
