Narrative:
After coming to a stop in a normal high wind landing (about 8 KTS), we tried to hold the balloon until the crew arrived. A gust of wind started to push the balloon closer to the trees. I pulled the top out and about 1/3 of the envelope landed on a tree. Myself and my passenger were not injured in any way. What I would have done differently would be to pull the top out sooner since the winds were a little too high to hold the balloon by ourselves.
