Narrative:

We landed heavy weight in cos from den. As a result the procedure is to chock the aircraft at the gate with the parking brake off. Due to gusty winds at the field (cos) from thunderstorms the aircraft moved off of the chocks approximately 20 ft from the gate. (Only the nose tire chocked due to procedure) fortunately the captain was in the cockpit and as the aircraft started to move he stomped on the brakes. Fortunately only a minor touch with the fuel truck occurred with no damage to aircraft other than a couple of scratches. A better procedure would be to chock all the tires in gusty winds and since the brakes were not hot, to set parking brake.

Title: B727. ACFT PARKED AT GATE WITH PARKING BRAKES OFF DUE TO HVY LNDG WT. ACR PROC IS TO CHOCK NOSEWHEEL WITH BRAKES OFF, GUSTY WINDS MOVED THE ACFT OUT OF THE CHOCKS AND IT HAD MINOR SCRATCHES FROM HITTING THE FUEL TRUCK. CAPT WAS IN THE COCKPIT AND, AS SOON AS HE NOTICED THE ACFT MOVEMENT, APPLIED THE BRAKES. RPTR FO SAYS THAT ALL WHEELS SHOULD BE CHOCKED IN THOSE CONDITIONS.

A BETTER PROC WOULD BE TO CHOCK ALL THE TIRES IN GUSTY WINDS AND SINCE THE BRAKES WERE NOT HOT, TO SET PARKING BRAKE.
