Narrative:

Requested by ATC to descend from FL330 to FL290 as soon as possible with at least 1500 FPM and make immediate 90 degree turn to left. ATC instructions interrupted several times by other carriers. Thought situation required maximum descent. Descended at 4000 FPM. Overshot altitude by 250 ft, approximately down to 28750 ft. Interpretation of radio calls disrupted communications and delayed receipt of instructions. Expedited descent, rapid descent caused overshoot.
