Narrative:

I was talking to fellow jumpseater while flying STAR. I calculated my descent point correctly, then a few mins later ZFW told us to cross 10 NM south of scurry VOR at 10000 ft MSL. I didn't recalculate the restr but I did keep talking, and I missed the fix by 2-3 mi. Fly the aircraft, mind the store, tell the first officer to takeover, whatever it takes, but do the job.

Narrative: I WAS TALKING TO FELLOW JUMPSEATER WHILE FLYING STAR. I CALCULATED MY DSCNT POINT CORRECTLY, THEN A FEW MINS LATER ZFW TOLD US TO CROSS 10 NM S OF SCURRY VOR AT 10000 FT MSL.
