Narrative:

Flight on aug/xx/96, from mlb to clt. Departing mlb climbing through approximately 12000 ft. We had been cleared to fly heading 270 degrees and intercept J53 north of orlando. Before the intercept, both fmcs went blank. After a short time they came back on. Suspected faulty circuit breaker. The aircraft then proceeded direct to barbs intersection. ATC asked if we were still on the intercept heading. First officer stated we were going to barbs intersection. We realized what had happened and reestablished the intercept heading for J53. The fmcs performed normally the rest of flight.
