Narrative:

On climb out at ttn with thunderstorms in and around the area, I was given a number of heading changes with airspeed changes. They were 180 degree and 270 degree turns in both directions. I was climbing to 3000 ft and then to 6000 ft. Before being handed off to the next controller, I was told to maintain 8000 ft. When we checked in with the new controller to level 8000 ft, he said, 'were you given 8000 ft by the previous controller?' I told him 8000 ft had been given and he wasn't sure we had been given 6 or 8. The controller said it was not a problem! I hope this was not a problem for anyone. However, being given multiple headings and airspeed changes with a number of altitude changes while trying to remain somewhat clear of building cumulo nimbus makes all of our days a little harder. The controllers I worked with were very much the professionals they are and did a great job. I feel with WX and a lot of traffic to contend with, I would prefer a delay on the ground rather than takeoff into the airborne traffic delays and vast vectoring to maintain separation between aircraft, and possibly leading to confusion between flcs and ATC. We have the greatest system in the world and it works well, however, we can't all be happy all the time. Some delays will happen.

Title: FLC OF AN LTT CPR JET OVERSHOT CLB ALT DURING DEP CLB RESULTING IN ATC QUESTIONING THEIR PREVIOUS ALT ASSIGNMENT.

Narrative: ON CLB OUT AT TTN WITH TSTMS IN AND AROUND THE AREA, I WAS GIVEN A NUMBER OF HEADING CHANGES WITH AIRSPD CHANGES. THEY WERE 180 DEG AND 270 DEG TURNS IN BOTH DIRECTIONS. I WAS CLBING TO 3000 FT AND THEN TO 6000 FT. BEFORE BEING HANDED OFF TO THE NEXT CTLR, I WAS TOLD TO MAINTAIN 8000 FT. WHEN WE CHKED IN WITH THE NEW CTLR TO LEVEL 8000 FT, HE SAID, 'WERE YOU GIVEN 8000 FT BY THE PREVIOUS CTLR?' I TOLD HIM 8000 FT HAD BEEN GIVEN AND HE WASN'T SURE WE HAD BEEN GIVEN 6 OR 8. THE CTLR SAID IT WAS NOT A PROB! I HOPE THIS WAS NOT A PROB FOR ANYONE. HOWEVER, BEING GIVEN MULTIPLE HEADINGS AND AIRSPD CHANGES WITH A NUMBER OF ALT CHANGES WHILE TRYING TO REMAIN SOMEWHAT CLR OF BUILDING CUMULO NIMBUS MAKES ALL OF OUR DAYS A LITTLE HARDER. THE CTLRS I WORKED WITH WERE VERY MUCH THE PROFESSIONALS THEY ARE AND DID A GREAT JOB. I FEEL WITH WX AND A LOT OF TFC TO CONTEND WITH, I WOULD PREFER A DELAY ON THE GND RATHER THAN TKOF INTO THE AIRBORNE TFC DELAYS AND VAST VECTORING TO MAINTAIN SEPARATION BTWN ACFT, AND POSSIBLY LEADING TO CONFUSION BTWN FLCS AND ATC. WE HAVE THE GREATEST SYS IN THE WORLD AND IT WORKS WELL, HOWEVER, WE CAN'T ALL BE HAPPY ALL THE TIME. SOME DELAYS WILL HAPPEN.
