Simulated engine failure during climb out. Throttle and propeller and mixture reduced then advanced. Propeller continued to feather and stop. Restart attempted. Starter engaged. No start. PIC made decision to land in alfalfa field. Successful soft field landing. Aircraft undamaged. No personal injuries. No property damage. Field recently cut. A&P mechanic conducted aircraft inspection to determine gear and propellers undamaged. Right main gear stressed upon takeoff as gear contacted earthen irrigation ridge upon rotation (solo PIC). Successful landing at provo municipal at XA00 pm.
