Narrative:

ATC: ZDC. Location: gll/034/75 DME. To FL330, ZDC called and said 'air carrier X dbd, I see you are still climbing.' being the PNF, I replied that we were climbing to FL330. Controller then told us that she had amended our clearance to maintain FL290. I replied that we had not received such clearance. Controller then told us to continue up to FL330 and maintain present heading. A couple of mins later the controller told us that someone else had acknowledged our clearance to maintain FL290. On the next 2 frequencys, we were told that air carrier Y dbd was also on frequency.

Title: ALTDEV ALT EXCURSION OCCURS WHEN ONE ACR FLT ACCEPTS A CLRNC INTENDED FOR ANOTHER.

Narrative: ATC: ZDC. LOCATION: GLL/034/75 DME. TO FL330, ZDC CALLED AND SAID 'ACR X DBD, I SEE YOU ARE STILL CLBING.' BEING THE PNF, I REPLIED THAT WE WERE CLBING TO FL330. CTLR THEN TOLD US THAT SHE HAD AMENDED OUR CLRNC TO MAINTAIN FL290. I REPLIED THAT WE HAD NOT RECEIVED SUCH CLRNC. CTLR THEN TOLD US TO CONTINUE UP TO FL330 AND MAINTAIN PRESENT HDG. A COUPLE OF MINS LATER THE CTLR TOLD US THAT SOMEONE ELSE HAD ACKNOWLEDGED OUR CLRNC TO MAINTAIN FL290. ON THE NEXT 2 FREQS, WE WERE TOLD THAT ACR Y DBD WAS ALSO ON FREQ.
